S9978 Blue 242 Threadlocker is used on the bolt treads that attach your driveshaft to the transfer case and front axle.

Most CV and universal joint service is done using makeshift tools and hammering on the parts until something gives service methods. Driveshaft parts and universal joints are incredibly precise components that can be easily damaged by such slam-bang work. There is a better way to perform driveshaft service using application specific press tooling and approved service procedures. Yeah, I know the Manuals and Tools are expensive, but when you consider that a poorly installed front u-joint blowing out as you tool down the Interstate at 75 is going to cause an expensive and dangerous mess. I have witnessed several driveshaft failures in vehicles driving ahead of me during my travels and I can tell you a 3' long front driveshaft can do a heck of a lot of damage as it whips around jamming into the road, whacking the transmission, and smashing the floor!

QT1065 Series Long Throat C-Frame Ball Joint Presses are designed to accept a variety of interchangeable tooling for performing Ball Joint and Universal Joint service on your 4x4. A heavy-duty tool that will get the job done when used with the appropriate tooling for your big Ford F-350. 
QT4008 Medium Size U-Joint Separator Yoke is used with a QT1065 series C-frame Press and QT4016 Press Anvil to easily remove the 3 universal joints on 1985 to 1997 Ford F-350 4x4 Double-Cardan Constant Velocity front driveshafts and 4x4 front axle shafts. By placing the press force against the u-joint cross, the amount of pressure needed to break a cup free is halved and the chances of damaging the yokes is greatly reduced. Works on rusted in or tight fitting u-joints.
QT4010 1" Press Tip is used with a QT1065 series C-frame Press and QT4016 Press Anvil to easily install universal joints with 1-1/16" to 1-3/16" diameter cups on most common light truck driveshafts and 4x4 front axle shafts.
QT4014 1-1/16" Capacity U-Joint Press Anvil used with a QT1065 series C-frame Press and either QT4008 Medium U-Joint Separator Yoke or QT4010 1" Press Tip to easily remove and install the two universal joints from all 1994-2002 Dodge Ram front driveshaft CV Joints and front universal joint on 1985 to 1997 Ford F-350 4x4s.
